camera (2007)

"This is a pretty straighforward picture of an object on a ground. It's interesting because of the combination of the objects. The camera is interesting on its own, and placed where it is on that very dynamic graphic composition of the backgammon board, it has another life. It's no longer a photo of a camera -- it's a composition that activates the entire frame. I love the backgammon board because it’s almost like a Russian constructivist work: with the white, black and red. I'm excited when I can make a reference like that."
