People on the Move: Long Island promotions, new jobs

Olivia Buatsi, of Greenlawn, has been hired as assistant superintendent for business and operations in the North Babylon School District. Buatsi was assistant superintendent for business and operations in the Amityville School District.

Machlin Fellman, of Farmingdale, has been hired as a staff engineer 1 at H2M architects + engineers in Melville. Fellman is a recent graduate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

Hayden Maitra, of Wantagh, has been hired as a staff engineer 1 at H2M architects + engineers in Melville. Maitra is a recent graduate of Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York.

Jon Lin, of Bethpage, has been hired as a staff engineer 1 at H2M architects + engineers in Melville. Lin is a recent of Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Kristen Fehr-Thompson, of Manorville, has been appointed humanities director for the South Country Central School District. Thompson was an English and AP seminar teacher at Bellport High School in Brookhaven which is in the South Country Central School District and also a leader teacher for the English department.

Paul Majkowski, of Albertson, a partner at Rivkin Radler in Uniondale, has been elected to the board of directors of the Lymphoma Research Foundation in Manhattan.

Cheryl L. Katz, of Massapequa, a partner in the trusts and estates group at Forchelli Deegan Terrana in Uniondale, has been appointed co-chair of the Surrogate's Court Estates and Trusts Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association in Mineola.

Mary McPhail, of Merrick, has been hired as chief marketing officer at Arrow Security in Smithtown. McPhail was regional marketing manager and sales support working remotely at New American Funding in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Allison Xiong, of Melville, assistant vice president of federal and state health care assessment at IPRO in Lake Success, has been elected chair of the technology/AI/cybersecurity committee of the NAIRO (National Association of Independent Review Organizations) in Albany.

Dr. Thomas Pustorino, of Garden City, has been hired as an internal medicine physician at New York Health in Smithtown. Pustorino was an infectious disease fellow at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

Jay Worona, of Slingerlands, New York, has been hired as a partner at Jaspan Schlesinger Narendran in Garden City. Worona was general counsel at New York State School Boards Association in Latham, New York.

Timothy Piciullo, of Sayville, has been hired as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in the Hicksville Public Schools. Piciullo was principal of South Ocean Middle School in Patchogue.

Kristen Schnall, of Holtsville, has been hired as assistant principal at Smithtown High School West in Smithtown. Schnall was a counselor at Glen Cove High School in Glen Cove.

Akira Byng-Regan, of West Babylon, has been hired as coordinator of music and arts in the Garden City Public Schools. Byng-Regan was lead music teacher and choral director at the Roosevelt Middle School and High School in Roosevelt as well as director of Roosevelt Performing Arts.

Lisa M. Casa, of Massapequa Park, a partner in the employment and labor group at Forchelli Deegan Terrana in Uniondale, has been appointed chair of the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association in Mineola.

William C. Anderson, of Freeport, has been hired as the associate dean for external relations and field placement in the School of Education at Hofstra University. Anderson was the K-12 curriculum associate for world language and English as a new language in the Massapequa School District.

Tracey Revere, of Seaford, a lending officer at Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union in Oceanside and Seaford branches, has been promoted to business development relationship manager in the Rockville Centre branch.

Dawn Del Mastro-Chruma, of Rockville Centre, chief executive officer of Del Mastro Outdoor in Manhattan, has been elected chairperson of the board of directors of Life's WORC/The Family Center for Achievement in Garden City.

Dr. Stacey E. Rosen, of Roslyn Heights, executive director of the Katz Institute for Women's Health in New Hyde Park, has been elected volunteer president of the American Heart Association in Dallas, Texas.

Doug DeSchutter, of Huntington, co-president of Broadridge’s investor communication solutions segment at Broadridge Financial Solutions in Edgewood, has been promoted to president of Broadridge’s investor communication solutions segment.

Jonathan Beekman, of East Patchogue, a manager at Sheehan & Company in Brightwaters, has been promoted to partner.

Jessica Ryan, of North Bellmore, has been hired as the elementary supervisor for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in the Wantagh School District. Ryan was a fourth grade teacher at Waverly Park Elementary School in Lynbrook.

Tracy Pignetti, of Massapequa Park, has been hired as elementary supervisor for humanities in the Wantagh School District. Pignetti was an assistant principal at the Daniel Street Elementary School in Lindenhurst.

Michael King, of Commack, has been hired as director of instructional technology for the Eastport-South Manor Central School District. King was a school librarian in the Weldon E. Howitt Middle School and Farmingdale High School.

Stacie Spatafora-DiCio, of St. James, has been appointed assistant superintendent for personnel in the Sachem Central School District. DiCio was director of personnel in the district.

Amy Meyer, of Mastic, has been hired as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in the Elwood School District. Meyer was assistant superintendent for curriculum in the Center Moriches School District.

Alexandra Zendrian, of East Northport, founder and chief executive officer of AtoZ Communications in East Northport, has been elected to the board of directors of the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island in Centerport. 

Victoria Buonpane, of East Norwich, has been hired as coordinator of social studies and world language in the Garden City School District. Buonpane was a social studies teacher at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview.

Amanda Hauser, of Huntington, has been appointed assistant principal of Garden City High School in Garden City. Hauser was coordinator of music and arts in the Garden City School District. 

Margaret Marchand, of Bayville, has been hired as head of school at the Holy Child Academy in Old Westbury, Marchand was school board president and vice president of the Locust Valley Board of Education. 

Michael S. Amato, of Stony Brook, has been hired as a partner at Forchelli Deegan Terrana in Uniondale. Amato was a partner at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale.

Gail Deutchman, of Mineola, president of Distinctive Promotions Inc. in Little Neck, Queens, was elected to the board of directors of the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island in Centerport.

Marilyn Velez, of the Village of the Branch, a marketing coordinator at CBIZ in Melville, has been elected to the board of directors of the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island in Centerport.

Deana Ambrosio, of Massapequa, a marketing director at Lorraine Gregory Communications in Edgewood, has been elected to the board of directors of the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island in Centerport.

Sarah Logan, of Babylon, a communications coordinator at IPRO in Lake Success, has been elected secretary of the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island in Centerport.

Thomas Piccirillo, of Merrick, has been hired as the athletic director and chairperson for physical education and health at New Hyde Park Memorial High School in New Hyde Park. Piccirillo was chairperson of physical education, health and athletics in the Patchogue-Medford School District.
