Jordan Cannata, who grew up in North Babylon, was born in 1990, the same year hard rock band Slaughter released its debut album, "Stick it to Ya." Today, he serves as the drummer in the band.
"Jordan has brought a lot of fire to us old guys," says singer/guitarist Mark Slaughter. "He’s bringing up the rear and peddling twice as fast to keep us up on our toes."
Cannata, 34, is excited because Slaughter is about to headline on his home turf when they rock the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Sept. 27.
"I haven’t had a chance to play a Long Island show with Slaughter since I joined them," says Cannata. "All my friends and family have wanted to come out and see me perform with them. It’s going to be really nice."
