The 17th annual Great South Bay Music Festival, which will be held July 24-27 at Shorefront Park in Patchogue, continues to unveil its lineup. The second day, July 25, will be focused on rock reggae with Damian and Stephen Marley, sons of late reggae legend Bob Marley, serving as the featured act while the Elovaters and J Boog play opening sets. This is a festival debut for all three acts.

“We started dedicating Friday as a rock reggae night years ago with 311 and the response was so good that we decided to continue with it,” says festival founder and promoter Jim Faith. “It’s a good fit for the groove of the festival and something people look forward to. The environment on the water is perfect for a rock reggae beach party.”

Earlier this month it was announced that Long Island’s own Taking Back Sunday will perform on July 24, marking the band’s first festival appearance since 2019. Say Anything, Gym Class Heroes and Head Automatica round out the day.

Jam bands moe. and Umphrey’s McGee co-headline July 26 with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Eggy as support acts. The band moe. is another GSB veteran, having last played in 2022, as well as Umphrey’s McGee, which performed in 2018.

More bands are set to be announced soon with the July 27 lineup going in a more '80s-'90s classic rock direction.

Tickets ($62-$69.50) are currently on sale at greatsouthbaymusicfestival.com. However, the current prices will go up as the festival draws closer.
