Judith Aime, of N. Merrick, dies in crash while crossing Jerusalem Avenue, police say

A North Merrick woman was killed after she was struck by a car while crossing a street in North Merrick on Monday, Nassau police said.
Judith Aime, 44, was crossing Jerusalem Avenue near West Drive at about 10:42 p.m. when an eastbound 2015 Dodge Charger struck her, police said. Aime suffered severe trauma and was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The 36-year-old driver of the Dodge, who police did not identify, remained at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
