Hits were hard to come by in the softball playoffs this week.

Bayport-Blue Point senior Alyna Dolan kicked off the week with a perfect game in a 6-0 win over Kings Park on Sunday, and Sachem East senior Olivia DeRose followed suit on Monday with a no-hitter in a 6-0 win over Riverhead. Carle Place senior Marissa Nosovitch pitched a no-hitter in a 5-0 win over Wheatley on Wednesday.

Dolan, who had three strikeouts, relied on her defense. The defensive performance came in a Suffolk Class A elimination game, two days after the Phantoms committed four errors in a 4-1 loss to Sayville.

DeRose struck out 12 and walked four as Sachem East advanced to the Suffolk Class AAA final by handing Riverhead its first loss of the season.

Nosovitch also totaled 12 strikeouts in the Frogs’ win in Game 1 of the Nassau Class B championship series. She came back in Game 2 on Thursday and totaled another 12 strikeouts, including the 500th of her career, in a 4-1 win to give Carle Place a county title.
