GIRLS BASKETBALL
Mia Betancourt, Mount Sinai
She had 26 points in a 47-40 win over Islip in the Suffolk Class A final.
Payton Dulin, Baldwin
She had 20 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals in a 66-34 win over Westhampton in the Long Island Class AA final. She had 24 points in a 49-33 win over Rye in the Class AA Southeast Regional final.
Sophia Dwyer, Lynbrook
She had 18 points in a 44-43 loss to Wantagh in the Nassau Class A final.
Monique Echols, Baldwin
She had 15 points in a 66-34 win over Westhampton in the Long Island Class AA final.
Riley Forthofer, Wantagh
She made the winning layup with 7.7 seconds left as Wantagh defeated Lynbrook, 44-43, in the Nassau Class A final. Forthofer totaled eight points and 12 rebounds.
Jada Hood, Brentwood
She had 20 points in a 41-32 win over Whitman in the Suffolk Class AAA final.
Kayla Mannix, Wantagh
She corralled an offensive rebound and then assisted on Forthofer’s winning basket in a 44-43 win over Lynbrook in the Nassau Class A final. Mannix recorded a steal on the ensuing possession to secure the win. She had seven points and seven rebounds.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Skyler Ellis, Half Hollow Hills East
He had all 21 of his points in the second half in a 57-40 win over Floyd in the Suffolk Class AAA final.
Jai Feaster, Bridgehampton
He had 25 points in a 71-41 win over Eldred in the state Class D Southeast Regional final.
Dom Pennzello, Mount Sinai
He had 27 points in a 75-67 win over Southampton in the Suffolk Class A final.
Mical Saint Jean, Baldwin
He had five three-pointers and 19 points in a 75-56 win over Amityville in the Long Island Class AA final.
Brian Vales, Mount Sinai
He had nine of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and had 15 rebounds to help the Mustangs take the Suffolk Class A title with a 75-67 win over Southampton.
