Top 100 Long Island girls lacrosse players for 2022

Madison Alaimo, Wantagh, A, Jr.: The Virginia commit had 25 goals, 33 assists, 15 caused turnovers and 17 groundballs last season. She is one of the smoothest players to watch in the attack with the ability to extend her game and finish with the best near the net.
Maggie Araneo, Calhoun, M, Sr.: The Sacred Heart commit had 42 goals and 17 assists last season and also plays tough defense as a true two-way midfielder. She’s also integral on the draw circle.
Ava Arceri, Smithtown East, M, Jr.: Arceri is fast, aggressive and in command of her vast array of skills. Committed to Stanford, Arceri consistently executes in high-pressure situations.
Caitlin Barrett, Manhasset, M, Jr.: Barrett, a Duke commit, had 13 goals and three assists last season, including a goal and an assist in the Nassau Class B championship victory. She will take on a larger role on offense, as well as being a key presence on defense.
Ava Bartoli, North Shore, M, Jr.: The Bryant commit has great field vision and the ability to dodge and get to the cage to create scoring opportunities. She had seven goals and four assists last season.
Jaime Behar, Wheatley, G, Sr.: The East Carolina commit made 145 saves last season and has a 60% career save rate on varsity. Behar has a high lacrosse IQ and strong leadership in the defensive half of the field.
Jordyn Behar, Wheatley, A, Sr.: Behar had 66 goals and 46 assists last season. She is excellent in draw controls, and her field sense and ability to distribute the ball makes her a game-changer. She'll play at Arizona State.
Marina Bergin, Harborfields, M, Sr.: Harborfields’ leading scorer and their top option on the draw, the lefty Bergin is a threat while dodging and feeding. She'll play at Navy.
Ava Biancardi, St. Anthony’s, M, Sr.: The Duke commit had 22 goals, six assists and 22 draw controls last season. The lefty can shoot from anywhere and can catch anything that comes her way.
Emma Biloshmi, West Babylon, M, Sr.: Biloshmi is back after missing her junior season with a torn ACL. The Ohio State commit is tremendously athletic, has great anticipation skills and has a knack for creating turnovers.
Caitlin Boden, Sacred Heart, G, Sr.: The James Madison commit is one of the top goalies in the country. She made 76 saves and allowed 45 goals last spring. She also picked up eight ground balls.
Katie Brown, Huntington, A/M, Sr.: The Bucknell commit had 30 goals and 12 assists last season. Brown scored three goals in an 8-7 loss to Smithtown East in the Suffolk Class A semifinals and had four goals and three assists in a regular-season win over Smithtown West.
Kyra Browne, Sacred Heart, M, Sr.: A leader on the field with a powerful dodge and great in transition. She’s strong on the ball and a good help defender.
Kylie Budke, Mt. Sinai, M, Sr.: The Stony Brook-commit scored 25 goals, including three-game winners, last spring. She picked up 25 ground balls and won 23 draws.
Ella Cabrera, Northport, M. Sr.: She’s a lock-down defender constantly tasked with marking the opponent's top option. Cabrera is strong in the transition game.
Joely Caramelli, Massapequa, M, Jr.: The Syracuse commit had 36 goals, seven assists and 103 draw controls for the Nassau Class A champions last season. She had four goals in the county final.
Alexa Carannante, Mt. Sinai, D, Sr.: She picked up 15 ground balls last season. The Pittsburgh commit is a fast, aggressive defender who clears the ball with precision.
Luchianna Cardello, Massapequa, G, Sr.: Cardello, a Hofstra commit, dominated in net last season to help Massapequa win the Nassau Class A championship. She made 129 saves, and she can spark the offense in transition with her quick passes and long clears.
Jaxie Cestone, Kings Park, M, Jr.: The Jacksonville commit had 41 goals and seven assists last spring. She’s a three-sport athlete who also plays soccer and basketball.
Katie Clare, Bayport-Blue Point, M, Jr.: Clare, a Yale commit, had seven multi-goal games last season. She totaled 21 goals and 16 assists.
Kylee Colbert, North Shore, M, Jr.: The dynamic playmaker had 47 goals and more than 100 draw controls last season. The Boston College commit has breakaway speed, dodging abilities and can dominate on both the offensive and defensive end.
Alexa Constant, Shoreham-Wading River, D, Sr.: The Stony Brook commit picked up three ground balls and caused four turnovers last season.
Mackenzie Creagh, South Side, G, Sr.: The athletic goalkeeper used her great reflexes and instincts to make 181 saves. The Holy Cross commit is comfortable coming out of the cage and moving the ball upfield.
Taylor Cullen, St. Anthony’s, D, Sr.: The Michigan commit picked up 11 ground balls last spring. Cullen is the backbone of the St. Anthony’s defense. She’s also strong on the draw.
Carla Curth, Garden City, A/M, Sr.: The Binghamton commit had 20 goals and 11 assists as a strong, two-handed dodger ready to take a bigger role in the offense this year.
Mikayla Danon, Oceanside, D, Sr.: The hard-nosed defender and captain had 57 ground balls last season and never shies away from a tough matchup.
Alyssa Deacy, Comsewogue, M, Jr.: The Florida commit had 18 goals and six assists last spring. She has great field vision.
Jordan DeBlasio, Mt. Sinai, D, Sr.: She missed half of last spring with an injury but still picked up eight ground balls and caused six turnovers.
Mia Delmond, South Side, M, Sr.: The Quinnipiac commit had 26 goals and eight assists last season. She is an aggressive player on offense and defense with a natural instinct to be in the right position at the right time.
Nina DeNicola, Smithtown East, M, Sr.: She quarterbacks the Smithtown East offense. The Lehigh commit is dominant in the draw circle, among the team’s leading scorers and very aggressive on both ends of the field.
Jaidyn Donley, Comsewogue, D/M, Sr.: The Stony Brook commit had six goals and an assist last season. She’s a strong, fast defender who causes turnovers and has tremendous intuition.
Lacey Downey, West Babylon, M, Jr.: She had 121 points last season (71 goals, 50 assists) and is committed to Boston College.
Catherine Erb, Shoreham-Wading River, M, Sr.: She scored 32 goals, won 22 draws, picked up four ground balls and caused five turnovers last spring.
Amanda Ettinger, Seaford, M/D, Jr.: The four-year starter is valuable to every facet of the game for the Vikings, with 28 goals, 12 assists and playing tough defense. She is committed to Binghamton.
Felicia Giglio, Bayport-Blue Point, G, Jr.: The Navy commit made 47 saves last spring, including five in a 6-5 win over Manhasset in the Long Island Class C championship game.
Lea Flobeck, Mt. Sinai, A, Jr.: The Florida-commit had 34 points (23 goals, 11 assists) last spring.
Isabella Germani, Northport, M, Sr.: A strong, fast player who is powerful on offense and hard to handle on defense. She’s also dominant on draws.
Kate Gilliam, North Shore, M, Sr.: The Harvard commit had 21 goals and plays with an endless motor. She is key on transition and has great field vision.
Kayla Gilmore. Floyd, M, Soph.: She won 75% of her draws last season and totaled 46 goals, 19 assists and 58 ground balls.
Ava Giugliano, Hewlett, G, Jr.: The Iona commit has played every minute for Hewlett since the eighth grade. She is sound under pressure with the ability to make key saves. Giugliano made 134 saves last season, averaging 10.3 per game.
Erin Harkins, Floral Park, M, Sr.: The LIU commit had 53 goals and 21 assists last season. The five-year varsity player controls the pace on offense and defense for Floral Park.
Erin Hickey, Farmingdale, M, Sr.: The Clemson commit had 23 goals and seven assists last season and uses her quick first step to generate offense. She's a tough defender.
Emily Iacobellis, South Side, M, Sr.: The Cornell commit had 30 goals last year. Iacobellis can create separation and space with ease and has a strong, accurate shot.
Eva Ingrilli, Wantagh, A, Jr.: The North Carolina commit had 31 goals, 27 assists, 14 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls last season. She is flawless with the ball and possesses the ability to create and finish in the attack.
Isabella Jahkhah, Brentwood, A/M, Sr.: Jahkhah had 44 goals and three assists last spring. She had 13 multi-goal games, including a 7-goal game against North Babylon.
Mia Juvelier, Middle Country, D, Jr.: She has great stick skills and is adept at knocking down and intercepting passes.
Emma Kelly, Plainedge, M/A, Sr.: The Penn State commit had 84 goals and nine assists last season as one of the top pure goalscorers on Long Island. She is also dominant on the draw.
Mairead Kelly, Bayport-Blue Point, A, Sr.: She had 15 goals and 10 assists last season, including a three-goal game against Miller Place. She had five multi-goal games.
Megan Kitagawa, Syosset, A, Sr.: The Yale commit had 25 goals and seven assists last season. The five-year varsity player can cause matchup problems for every opponent.
Bella Lanza, Commack, D, Jr.: She caused 34 turnovers and picked up 27 ground balls last season.
Alexandra Leggio, Seaford, A/M, Sr.: The Adelphi commit had 35 goals and 28 assists last season. She is a strong, athletic competitor who is solid on the draw.
GraceAnn Leonard, Shoreham-Wading River, M, Jr.: The North Carolina commit scored 24 goals, won nine draws and picked up 15 ground balls last spring.
Abby LoCascio, St. Anthony’s, A, Sr.: The Northwestern commit had 16 goals, 14 assists and caused four turnovers last spring. The lefty shot has tremendous field vision and unstoppable crease rolls.
Maggie Long, South Side, M, Sr.: The Pittsburgh commit had 13 goals and 28 assists over 10 games in an injury-shortened season. Long is a strong, dynamic playmaker on both ends of the field and a natural leader.
Abigail Lyons, Carle Place, M, Sr.: The Notre Dame commit had 32 goals and 15 assists last season.
Kaylie Mackiewicz, Northport, A, Sr.: The Duke commit had 66 goals and 11 assists last season.
Ashley Magee, Whitman, M, Sr.: The LIU commit had 33 goals and nine assists last spring. She is an offensive finisher who makes timely cuts to the net and is outstanding on defense.
Reilly Mahon, Westhampton, D, Jr.: She won 20 draws, caused 20 turnovers and picked up 22 ground balls last season.
Brigid Manning, Sayville, M, Sr.: She had 20 goals, 6 assists, 42 draw controls and picked up 57 ground balls last spring.
Allison Masera, Eastport-South Manor, D/M, Sr.: The Stony Brook commit caused 18 turnovers and won 12 draws last season.
Annalisa Massaro, Manhasset, A, Sr.: The Columbia commit had 22 goals and seven assists, including two goals in a Long Island Class C championship loss to Bayport-Blue Point. She is set to take on an even larger offensive role on a strong Manhasset team.
Kat McAteer, St. Anthony’s, M, Sr.: The Navy commit had 11 goals, 17 assists and 18 draw controls last season. Her work between the 30s is a huge reason for the Friars’ recent success.
Maggie McMahon, Mineola, A/M, Sr.: McMahon had 102 goals and 13 assists as a freshman in 2019. She missed last season with an injury, but when healthy, the Louisville commit can take over a game at a moment’s notice.
Caitlin McNaboe, Garden City, M, Sr.: The Marist commit had 14 goals and four assists last season for the Long Island Class B champions. She led the team in ground balls last year and is a strong presence on the offensive and defensive end.
Nikki Mennella, Smithtown West, M, Sr.: The Hofstra commit was injured for 13 of Smithtown West’s 16 games last season but still managed to score 10 goals and assist on another seven.
Delilah Mile, Mt. Sinai, D, Sr.: She’s strong on the clear. The Albany commit picked up 24 ground balls, caused 12 turnovers and won 12 draw controls last spring.
Cate Miller, Long Beach, D/M, Sr.: The UMass commit had 48 draw controls and 42 ground balls last season and possesses the speed to create havoc on the field. She is dominant on the draw and can carry the ball endline to endline .
Lauren Molinaro, Miller Place, D, Sr.: A great on-ball defender, Molinaro has quick feet and consistently makes good decisions with the ball in her stick. She picked up 26 ground balls last season.
Meg Morrisroe, St. Dominic, M, Jr.: She’s outstanding with her stick and can do a little bit of everything on the field. The junior can score, win draws and cause turnovers.
Alexis Morton, Manhasset, A, Sr.: The Richmond commit had 44 goals and 19 assists last season, including three goals in a Nassau Class C victory.
Emily Murtha, Floyd, D, Jr.: She leads one of Suffolk’s top statistical defenses. The Dominican College commit picked up 18 ground balls last season.
Ashley Newman, Manhasset, M, Sr.: The Yale commit had 16 goals last season and is a key part of Manhasset’s success on the offensive and defensive ends.
Mallory Ngitngit, Syosset, M, Sr.: Ngitngit had 17 goals and six assists last season, including two game-winning goals The Lafayette commit is dominant in the circle and led the team in draw controls. She contributes in every facet of the game and uses her great speed to create separation.
Paris Panagopoulos, Friends Academy, M, Jr.: The Yale commit had 24 goals and 18 assists last season before suffering a torn ACL. The three-sport athlete is the team’s draw control specialist with her quickness and can create plays for herself and others.
Mary Kate Pearson, Jericho, M/A, Sr.: The LIU commit had 67 goals last season after moving to Long Island from Pennsylvania.
Jessica Peluso, East Islip, M, Sr.: Peluso had 54 goals and 10 assists last spring, including six goals in a game against Deer Park and another six in a game against Port Jefferson. She had eight goals and three assists in a 13-4 win over Babylon last June.
Delaney Radin, Long Beach, A, Jr.: The Florida commit had 24 goals, 58 assists, 13 draw controls and 26 ground balls last season. She is a shifty, dynamic attacker with the field vision to make plays for herself and her teammates.
Julia Reagan, Sacred Heart, M, Sr.: The Delaware commit had 15 goals and five assists last spring. She picked up 20 ground balls, caused 12 turnovers and won 17 draw controls.
Allison Reilly, Sayville, M, Sr.: She has good stick skills and a very good shot. The Army commit also plays well off the ball and has improved her dodging skills.
Eliza Ritter, North Shore, D, Jr.: Ritter is key in North Shore’s transition game, coming up with plenty of 50-50 balls with her aggressive play. She’s a fast defender who is strong both on and off the ball.
Meghan Rode, Garden City, A, Sr.: The Syracuse commit had 28 goals and 21 assists last season, including three goals and an assist in a Long Island Class B victory over West Babylon. She will take the draws this year and is a strong dodger with the ability to shoot hard with both hands.
Olivia Rongo, Westhampton, D/M, Sr.: Rongo had 19 goals and 28 assists and won 38 draws last spring.
Elizabeth Schmutz, Bay Shore, A, Sr.: The Army commit scored 57 goals, had 25 assists and won 18 draws last spring.
Alexandra Schneider, Manhasset, D, Jr.: The Virginia commit isn’t afraid of taking on some of the most challenging defensive assignments. Schneider was a key part of Manhasset’s Nassau Class C championship season last year.
Emily Scorcia, Bay Shore, D/M, Sr.: She scored 10 goals and caused 19 turnovers last spring.
Shannon Smith, Northport, A. Sr.: A pure scorer who has an eye for the cage. The High Point commit isn’t afraid of contact and will dodge through traffic without a second thought.
Juliana Stanley, Division, M, Sr.: The Richmond commit had 61 goals and 17 assists over 13 games last season. She can control the game with both hands and possesses a strong lacrosse IQ.
Alyssa Studdert, Half Hollow Hills, M, Sr.: She took every draw control last season and had 36 goals and 37 assists.
Ava Lily Sumwalt, Riverhead, M, Sr.: The Pittsburgh commit had 52 goals and 12 assists last spring.
Madison Taylor, Wantagh, M, Sr.: This returning Newsday All-Long Island selection had 56 goals, 28 assists, 113 draw controls, 30 caused turnovers and 58 groundballs last season. The Northwestern commit is one of the best athletes on Long Island and can dominate a game on the draw, attack and defense.
Kate Timarky, Middle Country, M, Jr.: The Notre Dame commit had 64 goals and 24 assists last spring.
Ava Tighe, Cold Spring Harbor, A, Sr.: Tighe had 34 goals and five assists last season, sacrificing some scoring to play midfield. She moves back to the attack this season and can use her height to generate offense and dominate on the draw. She'll play at Florida.
Payton Tini, Locust Valley, M, Jr.: The Rutgers commit had 48 goals and 18 assists last season. She is pivotal in scoring, defending and maintaining possession with draw controls.
Bridget Valentine, Massapequa, M, Jr.: Valentine had 27 goals, 14 assists and 15 draw controls for the Nassau Class A champions. The UMass commit is a versatile threat with great speed and a quick first step to dodge a defender.
Francesca Viteritti, Harborfields, G, Sr.: The Stony Brook commit is one of the best goalies on Long Island, wrapping up the shots of many of the best attackers on Long Island.
Chelsey Weber, Sachem East, M, Sr.: The Hofstra commit is a strong, two-way midfielder who has an undeniable defensive presence.
Brianna Wendling, Bethpage, D, Jr.: She never shies away from a tough defensive challenge for the Eagles. Wendling is committed to play at Loyola.
Madison Weybrecht, Bayport-Blue Point, D, Jr.: A remarkable one-on-one defender with playmaking ability as well. Weybrecht, committed to James Madison, is a turnover-causing machine and is the Phantom’s top transition defender.
Alexandra Whitmore, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK, M, Sr.: The athletic midfielder had 37 goals and 26 assists in an 11-3 season last year.
Natasha Yajadda, Sayville, D, Sr.: She picked up 94 ground balls, had 15 draw controls, and caused 31 turnovers last season.
