Robbie Campbell scored the winning goal off an assist from Justin Szodo from 10 yards out with 12 minutes left in the second half to break a tie at 2 as Huntington defeated North Babylon, 3-2, in Suffolk League IV boys soccer on Friday.

Campbell finished with two goals and Manuel Orellana opened the scoring for Huntington (2-2). Marcus Nazaire scored two goals for North Babylon (1-5).

Sachem North 1, Whitman 0: Zach DeMilt scored the wining goal off an assist from Luka Verbanac with 3:03 left in the second half for Sachem North (1-3) in Suffolk II. Verbanac also made nine saves, including a penalty shot stop to preserve the shutout.

Copiague 1, Lindenhurst 0: Kevin Cruz scored the winning goal off a cross from Brayan Vierra in the 62nd minute to lead Copiague (2-3) in Suffolk III. Kendal Serrano made five saves.

THURSDAY’S GAMES

Oceanside 2, Uniondale 1: Franco Visone scored the winning goal off an assist from Joe DePalma with 16 minutes left in the second half for Oceanside (2-1-1) in Nassau AAA. Visone also scored the tying goal with a 35-yard free kick. Bryan Tirado had six saves, including some key stops late to preserve the victory.

Wantagh 6, Clarke 5: Justin Catanzaro and Nico Petrocelli each had two assists as Wantagh (2-3) had six different goal-scorers in Nassau A-I. Christian Carballo had three goals and Branden Galdamez had a goal and three assists for Clarke (0-5).

GIRLS SOCCER

THURSDAY GAMES

Hewlett 6, Valley Stream Central 5: Isabell Hercules had three goals and three assists and scored the winning goal with 50 seconds left in the second half for Hewlett (1-1-2) in Nassau AAA/AA-IV. Olivia Brown added two goals and an assist.

Angelina James opened the scoring in the sixth minute and scored two goals for Valley Stream Central (0-4). Alyssa Haughton, who had a goal and an assist, tied the score with six minutes left for VSC.

Longwood 2, Patchogue-Medford 1: Delaney Israel had a goal and an assist and Haylee Tufano added a goal to lead Longwood (3-1) in Suffolk I.

FIELD HOCKEY

Seaford 2, New Hyde Park 1: Emma Masie, Katie Young, and Jessica Reiter each scored in the third round of shootouts for Seaford (3-0) in Nassau II on Thursday. Taylor Jebaily made six saves during regulation and nine saves during shootouts.

Emily Sepcaru scored for New Hyde Park (2-2) with 11:52 remaining to tie the score. Isabella Privilegi made 11 saves in regulation and eight saves in shootouts.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Wantagh 3, Long Beach 0: Sadie Reich hit her 1,000th career kill to lead Wantagh in a 25-15, 25-22, 25-21 win in Nassau I on Thursday. She totaled 15 kills, nine digs and two aces and Juliette Azzariti added 28 assists and six digs for Wantagh (1-2).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Northport 3, West Babylon 2: Brendon Simonds and John Berkery each had 11 kills as Northport won, 25-8, 20-25, 25-22, 14-25, 15-3, in Suffolk I on Thursday. Blake Hayden had 20 assists for Northport (3-1). Luke Drankwalter and Matt Horyczun had 12 and 10 digs, respectively.
