NewsdayTV's Elisa DiStefano got a tour of the bed and breakfast at Sannino Vineyard in Cutchogue.

Winemaking and hospitality go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise that at least two of the East End’s winemakers are also innkeepers.

At Rose Hill Vineyards on idyllic Oregon Road in Mattituck, an antique farmhouse with accommodations sits just steps away from the winery's North Fork tasting setup. Four rooms overlook farms and fields, including 22 acres of vines.

It's described by assistant general manager Janelle Gerle as a "North Fork hidden gem with so much history and charm."

And if it is peace and quiet that you seek, you’ll find it at the Sannino Vineyard B&B, tucked at the end of a winding private drive off of Alvahs Lane in Cutchogue. The inn’s two suites, each 800 square feet, are situated on opposite ends of the home. One has a deck overlooking the vines, while the other has a romantic balcony. Wood beams, rustic doors, reading nooks and dining tables made from wine barrels complete the décor. “We love providing an experience and ambience as rich as our Italian heritage,” owner and innkeeper Lisa Sannino says of the family’s Tuscan-style retreat.

Budding sommeliers can book a stay at one of these wineries that offer guests lodging, tours, tastings and other amenities.

Included in your stay is a complete country breakfast (eggs are from the Rose Hill henhouse), which can be enjoyed in the inn’s dining room or on its wraparound porch, which overlooks some ancient farm equipment across the road and features an old-fashioned swing as well as tables and chairs. Also included are a welcome glass of wine, a cheese and charcuterie board and a wine tasting.

Enjoy your flight of up to five Rose Hill reds and whites on the shaded stone patio with a bubbling fountain, or lounge on the lawn, which is situated between rows of Rose Hill vines. Take a complimentary vineyard tour with the winemaker to learn about viticulture and Rose Hill’s winemaking practices.

In chilly or rainy weather, tastings are held in a wine library with leather sofas, tables and chairs, a vintage bar and an aromatic barrel room. A small shop across from the library sells North Fork-made or branded merchandise including beanies, books, jewelry and candles.

Bicycles are available for exploring the nearby Long Island Sound beaches, or other wineries (there are more than 30 within a 10-mile radius) including Lieb Cellars, also located on Oregon Road.

A breakfast prepared by Lisa Sannino, with ingredients harvested from her garden out back, is delivered daily to the room. It’s also possible to arrange for a one-hour, in-room couple's massage (fee). The newly constructed tasting house is a short walk through the vines, where the family’s Australian shepherds, siblings Bacchus and Sailor, can sometimes be seen roaming.

Included in an overnight stay is a wine tasting and cheese platter for two. Enjoy this amenity in the bar, where you can view the winery’s production room. Or take a seat on the patio, where sunsets provide evening entertainment. Educational options include a private winery tour for $100 per person, and a VIP wine blending class with winemaker Anthony Sannino, including lunch, for $350 per couple.

For dinner, explore a local restaurant; for those who want to take advantage of the inn’s seclusion, Lisa can help get dinner delivered. “We have guests who don’t even leave the property,” she says.
