Is Jessica Simpson pregnant again, seven months after the birth of her first child?
Us Weekly, at least, is confident enough to announce it on the cover of its new issue, due out tomorrow, based on an unnamed source who said the new pregnancy wasn't planned but that the singer and fashion entrepreneur is joyful at the news.
A representative for Simpson had no comment for the magazine, but told CNN, "I wont be commenting on speculation made by Us Weekly." Simpson, 32, has said nothing on her Twitter page since writing on Thanksgiving, "I am so grateful for my new lil family!"
Simpson and her fiancé, former NFL pro Eric Johnson, 33, became the parents of daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1. The couple have been engaged since November 2010.
Simpson, who became a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers a year ago, has shed over 60 pounds since giving birth, said Us, using the weight-loss company's PointsPlus program and four-times-weekly gym sessions with trainer Harley Pasternak. "In over 20 years, I've never seen as consistent a weight loss," he told Us last month. "Jessica's right where she needs to be."
A Weight Watchers spokeswoman would not speculate on how a new pregnancy might impact on Simpson's reported $3 million contract with the company. "Any questions related to Jessica's personal life can only be answered by her team," Stephanie Shulman told ABC News. "We do not disclose financial details about any of our relationships with our ambassadors."
