Police: West Babylon man critically injured in single-car crash
A West Babylon man, 24, was critically injured after being "partially ejected" in a one-car accident on Montauk Highway early Tuesday morning in Bay Shore, police said.
The crash occurred on westbound Montauk near the intersection of Gardiner Drive at 12:33 a.m., Suffolk police said.
Police said the car, a 2008 Ford sedan, left the road, crashed into a wooded area and struck a fence, partially ejecting driver James Kennedy. He was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore via Bay Shore-Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance.
Police said he is in critical condition.
The vehicle has been impounded for a safety check and police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call Third Squad detectives at 631-854-8352.
