Letter: Southwest seating process is poor
I am not surprised that Long Island MacArthur Airport is doing so poorly ["MacArthur needs these flights," Opinion, Feb. 2].
Southwest Airlines' manner of selling tickets and boarding passengers is incredibly unwieldy.
There's the scramble online at the last moment to get a seating designation. There's no assigned seating. Even getting to the airport early is of little value.
I would prefer to fly from MacArthur, but for years have flown out of Kennedy Airport with an assigned seat.
