1. SAYVILLE FOOTBALL

We have a new No. 1 in the BIG 10! Sophomore quarterback Jack Coan continues to reach for the record books. He threw three touchdown passes and completed 18 of 33 passes for 304 yards in a 29-7 win over Eastport-South Manor in the Suffolk Division III football semifinal playoffs. Sayville (10-0) will meet Islip (8-2) in the Suffolk III final on Thursday in LaValle Stadium at Stony Brook University at 7 p.m. Coan has 37 TD passes and needs one more to tie the LI record single season record set by Lawrence QB Joe Capobianco.

2. ST. ANTHONY'S GIRLS SOCCER

The Friars, the top ranked girls soccer team in the state, capped a dominant season with another state title, beating Christ the King 6-0 behind Sabrina Cristodero's goal and two assists.

3. COMMACK BOYS SOCCER

Behind midfielder Anthony Izzo's two goals, the Cougars captured their first state title since 1995. Goalkeeper Ryan Sinnott and defenders Ryan Nigro, Peter Brennan, Josh Eisler and Noah Gittleman did not allow a goal in all five November games. Midfielder Justin Cebollero was voted League I MVP by the coaches association for the second straight season.

4. MASSAPEQUA GIRLS SOCCER

Meghan McCabe scored the winning goal in Massapequa's 1-0 win over North Rockland as the Chiefs captured their second straight state title. The Chiefs defense, led by McCabe and Melanie Hingher didn't allow a goal in six playoff games.

5. ST. ANTHONY'S BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

The Friars won their seventh New York State Federation title on Saturday, the most ever, coach Tim Dearie said. Pat Tucker finished in third, running the 5k Bowdoin Park course in 15:42.7. Frederick Buckholtz was 20th in 16:15.4.

6. SACHEM NORTH BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Sachem North boys volleyball: Rob Steinberg had 47 assists and Dylan Missry had 36 kills to lead the Flaming Arrows (18-0) in their 3-1 win over McQuaid Jesuit (Rochester) in the NYSPHSAA Class A state championship match. The Flaming Arrows dropped just one set this season.

7. CAREY FOOTBALL

The Seahawks moved to No. 1 in the Large Public Schools ranking with their 22nd consecutive win. Quarterback Michael Catanese rushed for 111 yards and passed for another 91 in a 35-14 win over Long Beach. Carey (10-0) will meet Garden City (9-1) in Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University on Saturday at 12:30 p.m..

8. WARD MELVILLE GIRLS SWIMMING

The Patriots captured the school's 23rd straight Suffolk team championship with 301 points. No one was close as runner-up Harborfields scored 250.5. Brittany Coughlin, Cassandra Willie, Casey Gavigan, Sarah Schoenfled and Katie Wang all qualified for state competition.

9. ST. ANTHONY'S GIRLS SWIMMING

The Friars enjoyed their fifth straight CHSAA championship and fifth consecutive undefeated season. Meghan Slattery earned MVP honors after she set the CHSAA record in the 50-freestyle in 24.22. Slattery also won the 100-freestyle.

10. BALDWIN FOOTBALL

The Bruins won their 10th game for the second time in 94 years. Baldwin beat Massapequa 35-0, in the Nassau Conference I semifinal. The Bruins will meet Syosset in Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University on Thursday at 7 p.m.
