A 13-year-old East Northport Middle School student was arrested Monday and charged after “making threats of mass harm to several students,” police said.

Police were called to the middle school about 3 p.m. Monday after the girl allegedly made the threat, said a Suffolk County Police Department news release.

“Officers located and isolated the 13-year-old student, and an investigation was conducted,” the release said. “There were no weapons brought to the school.”

The girl was taken to the Suffolk County Police Department's Second Precinct in Huntington, according to the release.

She was charged with misdemeanor making a threat of mass harm and released to her parents. Police did not release the girl's name. She is set to be arraigned in Suffolk Family Court at a later date.
