High school roundup: Kings Park's Hunter Colagrande throws a no-hitter

Hunter Colagrande struck out 14 and walked one in a no-hitter to lead Kings Park to a 3-0 win over Hampton Bays in Suffolk VI baseball on Monday. Michael Cooper and Vincenzo Buffolino each had two-out RBI hits for Kings Park (11-2).

Port Jefferson 12, Amityville 0: Kyle Erickson struck out nine and walked three in a no-hitter for Port Jefferson (6-4) in Suffolk VIII. Erickson added a double, three RBIs and two runs.

SOFTBALL

Syosset 6, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 5: Ella Lanza hit a go-ahead, two-run single in the bottom of the fifth to lead Syosset (7-4) in non-league. Taylor Renny had three hits, two stolen bases and two runs and her sister, Sienna, had two hits, two RBIs and a run.

Patchogue-Medford 5, Ward Melville 4: Susan Dominici went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double to lead Patchogue-Medford (4-5) in Suffolk I. Isabel Briand hit a three-run home run and struck out six. Ariana Shellman went 2-for-3.

Eastport-South Manor 3, Mount Sinai 0: Elaina Keller struck out nine in a two-hit shoutout to lead ESM (7-5) in non-league. Lee Pacello had an RBI double and a run, Leah Smith had an RBI double and Kendall Ward had an RBI single and a run. Elsie Martin went 1-for-2 with a run.

BOYS LACROSSE

Floral Park 10, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 8: Steven Baranoski had four goals and two assists to lead Floral Park (10-1) in non-league. Jack Gallagher added three goals and Marcus Mega had two goals and an assist.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Massapequa 12, Mount Sinai 10: Isabella Grosso had three goals and one assist to lead Massapequa (5-2) in a non-league game. Paige Garguilo had three goals and Addison Labriola added two goals.

FLAG FOOTBALL

Half Hollow Hills 14, Sachem East 6: Samantha Heyman threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns to lead Half Hollow Hills (8-1) in Suffolk I. Rose Azmoudeh caught six passes for 95 yards and two TDs. Andi Rallo caught eight passes for 62 yards.
