Canon renews its Yankees sponsorship

Canon U.S.A. has renewed its sponsor relationship with the New York Yankees baseball organization through 2014.
The Lake Success-based company also renewed its sponsorship agreement with Madison Square Garden, and the Canon logo will be shown on dasher boards during Rangers hockey games.

The Lake Success-based company also renewed its sponsorship agreement with Madison Square Garden, and the Canon logo will be shown on dasher boards during Rangers hockey games.
In addition the imaging company will extend, through 2013, its sponsorship of the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, a college football event held at Yankee Stadium.
Canon is building a new headquarters in Melville, where it hopes to move by next year. Shares of the company, which trade on the New York Stock Exchange as Canon Inc. American Depositary, opened at $43.90 Monday. The 52-week share price range is $42.15 to $50.
With the three-year Yankees baseball team extension, Canon will remain the official digital camera; single lens reflex camera; copier, and printer of the New York Yankees. During home games Canon’s logo will appear on rotating signs behind home plate and the leftfield wall.
“Canon is proud to continue sponsorships of such iconic sports stadiums that are home to some of the most storied franchises in sports history,” Bunji Yano, Canon U.S.A.’s senior director and general manager for corporate communications, said in a Monday news release.
