At least 23 residents of Nassau and Suffolk counties have been arrested for bilking the federal government’s marquee business-relief programs, according to a Newsday analysis of federal court cases.

More than $51 million was fleeced from the Paycheck Protection Program and COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan program in 2020 and 2021, the analysis shows.
