Mac Motorcyles: Not your dad's Harley nor your son's Yamaha
Upstart British Mac Motorcycles says today's two-wheeled riding experience and the stories that go with motorcycle journeys "seem to have been hijacked by technology and plastic," or over-the-top ostentatiousness.
To get back to the purity of bike riding, Mac Motorcycles came up with four separate custom designs that exude simplicity.
Mac Motorcycles are powered by the Buell single cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve, push rod, 492cc, 5-speed 'Blast' engine that puts out about 34 HP.
I'm not exactly sure if this is English, but I'll let the company describe their own bikes:
Chasing dinosaurs? The Roarer and other bikes look pretty sweet, but the downside to these bikes is the $12,000 to $16,000 sticker price. That's a pretty hefty fee for rolling around in a supped up Vespa engine.
Mac Motorcycles hope to enter the North American market in 2010.
