Howard Stern ends run as 'America's Got Talent' judge

Howard Stern bid ended his tenure as a judge on "America's Got Talent" Wednesday night and Dix Hills comedian Gary Vider did likewise as Season 10 ended with a British person winning.
Longtime radio personality Stern, 61, who was raised in Roosevelt and Rockville Centre, celebrated his four-year stint on the show by speaking with people on the street outside Radio City Music Hall, where the live finale took place, reported Entertainment Weekly. He told one couple, according to the magazine, "You know what? I did the most shocking thing in my career: I was on a family show." To another passerby, he said that, "If I had any dream about this, it's that I could take someone who was struggling and seriously give advice," adding, "I was told over and over again that I had no talent. I was in college radio. No one was banking on me."

Vider, who had made it to the top 10 finalists, came in ninth, and afterward tweeted his congratulations to the winner, 43-year-old London ventriloquist Paul Zerdin. "I had the best time on @nbcagt thanks so much all!!" dog-walker and comedian, Vider, 31, posted. "Congrats to @paulzerdin you're going to put on a hell of a Vegas show man!
A fellow comedian, Drew Lynch, was runner-up. New York City magician Oz Pearlman, who won this year's Long Island Marathon in May, came in third, followed by professional regurgitator Stevie Starr and in fifth place, The CraigLewis Band
