Budding superstar Jessica Sanchez up next on "American Idol." They're singing songs from the years they were born -- 1995 in her case -- and she says, "I was such a little diva."

As she sings Gloria Estefan's "Turn the Beat Around," guest mentor will.i.am is astounded by her versatile voice.

She struts out, resplendent in sparkly glitter pants and a white top. Not crazy about the song choice, but she's singing it like a pro, working hard to make it better than it is.

Steven Tyler says he loves her voice, but  "the rhythmn you sang with the song was a little shady." He warns her against straying too much from her sweet spot.

Jennifer Lopez agrees, says she was a bit behind the beat -- "not my favorite thing I've ever seen you do, but good job."

Randy Jackson didn't like the song choice either, wants something that showcases her big voice more and that she can make her own.

Afterwards Sanchez says "there wasn't a lot to choose from" for 1995, and that next time she'll find a better song.
