We all get homework, but we wanted to know if fifth-graders at our school thought that homework was important. We asked 252 kids in our school, and here is what we found out:

Homework is important: 153

Homework is not necessary: 99

As you can see, most of the kids we asked think that homework is necessary. It is a good way to reinforce what you learned in school that day, and it can help prepare you for all the tests you have to take. Kids also believe that it makes you a responsible person and teaches you about time management. After all, we all have other things we like to do once we get out of school for the day.

The kids who didn’t think it was important said it can often cause stress and takes away from the other things that are going on in our lives.
