The wines are sure to complement the Provencal-style lunch buffet that Wolffer has planned for June 22. So will Wolffer's Grandioso Rose and cider. The dishes will be prepared by Christian Mir, chef-owner of Stone Creek Inn in East Quogue. Seating is at 12:30 p.m. Cost:$150 per person.
Mir's offerings include pissaladiere, or caramelized onion tarts; salade Nicoise; socca, the chickpea crepes of Nice; tapenade, or black olive spread; roasted chicken with lavender-and-honey jus; madeleines; and cherry clafoutis.
Tickets may be purchased via the winery's web site.
On June 24, Wolffer also will host a pairing or rose wines with shellfish at a raw bar at The Wine Stand, on the Wolffer property. Cost: $25 online, $30 at the door.
