Armed carjackers in ski masks drove off with a stolen 2023 BMW M5 on Saturday in Westbury after one of the thieves struck the owner on the head with a gun until he surrendered the car, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

The robbery happened at 5:20 a.m. on Corporate Drive.

Armed carjackers in ski masks drove off with a stolen 2023 BMW M5 on Saturday in Westbury after one of the thieves struck the owner on the head with a gun until he surrendered the car, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

The robbery happened at 5:20 a.m. on Corporate Drive. 

“Two male subjects wearing black ski masks got out of the vehicle and approached the victim,” the police release said. "One of the subjects demanded the victim’s car keys and displayed a black handgun. The subject then struck the victim in the head with the handgun, causing laceration and bleeding.”

The release added: “The subject then demanded that victim get out of the vehicle and the victim, fearing for his life, complied.”

Two of the carjackers drove away with the 34-year-old victim's car. The other fled in the vehicle the three had arrived in. The victim was treated at a hospital.

No one has been arrested.
