A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday after he crashed into a sedan in Garden City, according to the Nassau County Police Department. 

The motorcyclist, on a white Honda CBR 600, was eastbound on Stewart Avenue near the intersection of Tanners Pond Road at about 3 p.m. when he struck the rear of a 2015 Hyundai Sonata turning south on Edgemere Road.

A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed Saturday after he crashed into a sedan in Garden City, according to the Nassau County Police Department. 

The motorcyclist, on a white Honda CBR 600, was eastbound on Stewart Avenue near the intersection of Tanners Pond Road at about 3 p.m. when he struck the rear of a 2015 Hyundai Sonata turning south on Edgemere Road. 

The victim was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered extreme trauma. He was pronounced dead at 3:02 p.m., police said. His identity was not available Sunday afternoon. The driver of the Hyundai Sonata was not injured and remained at the scene. 

The Nassau Homicide Squad is investigating the fatal crash.
