The Community Ambulance Company of Sayville took the 45-year-old victim by ambulance to the Southside Hospital Trauma Center in Bay Shore.

Chen was booked on second-degree assault, a felony, and arraigned Saturday morning in Suffolk First District Court in Central Islip.

He pleaded not guilty and his bail was set at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. Chen is set to return to court Wednesday.
