A man armed with a black handgun and wearing “a dark colored mask covering the lower portion of his face” robbed Milk and Things store on Grand Avenue in Baldwin late Sunday, stealing cash and cigarettes before fleeing, police said.

Police said the robbery took place at about 10:05 p.m.

A man armed with a black handgun and wearing “a dark colored mask covering the lower portion of his face” robbed Milk and Things store on Grand Avenue in Baldwin late Sunday, stealing cash and cigarettes before fleeing, police said.

Police said the robbery took place at about 10:05 p.m.

In addition to he mask, police said the robber wore a dark colored baseball cap, sunglasses, a blue long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. When he demanded cash and cigarettes police said the clerk complied and then the robber fled.

Police did not say how much was taken.

There were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery and there were no injuries, police said.

Nassau County Police are asking anyone with information about the armed robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
