An accused burglar has been arrested and charged with nine break-ins of eateries in Suffolk this month and in January, according to the county police department.

Robert Blackmore, 54, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested Friday night in Dix Hills on the Long Island Expressway, the department said in a news release Saturday morning.

The burglar allegedly would throw a rock at the store glass, enter the premises and steal cash, the release said.

The eateries include Dunkin’, Starbucks, IHOP, Bagel Express, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and Duck Donuts, the release said. Stacey's Bagels in Lake Ronkonkoma and Princess Deli Bagels in Commack were also burglarized, the release said.

The department's press office would not say what evidence connects Blackmore to the crimes, how he was caught, or specifics on what he allegedly stole.

Blackmore has been charged with nine counts of third-degree burglary and is to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip. No attorney for Blackmore could be immediately identified.
