Curtis Desir of Brooklyn threatened to shoot Uniondale library staff, police say

A Brooklyn man was arrested Thursday morning, charged with making a terroristic threat and menacing, after he said he was going to shoot employees at the Uniondale Public Library, Nassau County police said.
Police said Curtis Desir, 29, was arrested outside the library at 9:25 a.m. No injuries were reported and no firearm was recovered, according to police.

Police said Curtis Desir, 29, was arrested outside the library at 9:25 a.m. No injuries were reported and no firearm was recovered, according to police.
Police said First Precinct officers were called to the scene at 400 Uniondale Ave. after Desir threatened employees. His threat and behavior forced the library to go into lockdown mode, police said.
Desir was charged with making a terroristic threat and two counts of third-degree menacing.
He faces arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
It was not immediately clear if he is represented by counsel.
