TEACHER PAY / PROGRAMS Includes an average 1.1 percent contractual increase and an average step increase of 2 percent. Adds health, physical education, special education, part-time speech and part-time psychologist positions at the elementary school level; six special education positions and a world languages position at the secondary school level; and six teaching assistants. The proposed budget provides funding for introduction of a mental health curriculum and lengthening of physical education classes at the elementary level, and expansion of the co-teaching model at the secondary level.
PROPOSITIONS
Proposition 2 authorizes the district to spend $400,000 from a capital reserve fund to perform electrical upgrades in district buildings and to install security glass film at building entrances. Approval of the proposition will not affect the tax levy.

Allyson Benowitz, Jodi Luce and incumbent Matthew Melnick are running unopposed for three seats, elected at-large. Incumbents Joseph Parisi and Marcee Rubinstein are not seeking re-election. Terms are three years.
