JOAN AND FERDINAND BERG, of Ridge, were wed May 2, 1959, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Centereach. Ferdinand joined the Air Force and met the love of his life while stationed in Westhampton Beach, known back then as Suffolk Air Force Base. He then went on to a career with Verizon. They have two sons and one grandson. They celebrated with a family dinner at Ragazzi in Nesconset.
