Singer of Great Neck was recently named New York State Family Court Judge of the Year by the New York State Family Court Judges Association for "outstanding and dedicated service" in the field, the organization said. Singer, who has served as the association's president, is a family court judge presiding in Nassau County. He has also served as co-chair of the New York State Bar Association's Judicial Council's Diversity Committee, an impartial hearing officer for the New York State Department of Education, and a judicial hearing officer for Nassau County's Traffic Violations Bureau.
