Keasha S. Guerrier, of Wheatley Heights, has received the inaugural Community Champion Award from the Long Island Health Collaborative for her dedication to the group’s mission to improve Long Islanders’ health. Guerrier, chairwoman of family medicine at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital, has led many of the collaborative’s “Walk With a Doc” events, as well as its annual virtual “Talk With a Doc” series in partnership with AARP Long Island. She is also an assistant professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and senior project manager for Northwell Health’s Institute for Clinical Excellence and Quality.
