Larry Slatky of Cold Spring Harbor recently received the Distinguished Nursing Home Administrator Award from the American College of Health Care Administrators for his "outstanding nursing home work," the organization said. Slatky, a College member since 1972, is executive vice president of operations at Nassau Health Care Corp. (NuHealth), where he is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations that affect all of NuHealth's facilities. He is also a member of numerous geriatric organizations and has previously served as administrator of the A. Holly Patterson Extended Care Facility in Uniondale and the Waterview Nursing Care Center in Flushing, Queens.
