Traffic is moving well again on the westbound Long Island Expressway near Exit 40 after a 5:25 a.m. accident caused delays Friday morning.

The two-vehicle accident in Jericho was cleared by 7:30 a.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation website.

Traffic is moving well again on the westbound Long Island Expressway near Exit 40 after a 5:25 a.m. accident caused delays Friday morning.

The two-vehicle accident in Jericho was cleared by 7:30 a.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation website.

Traffic cameras at informny.com had showed congestion in all three westbound lanes at Exit 40, Jericho Turnpike, nearly 90 minutes after the accident.

The site did not provide details of the accident, but said two vehicles were involved and two westbound lanes of the expressway were closed.
