Rescuers were searching late Sunday for a missing boater who was using a water scooter off Alhambra Road, Massapequa Park Fire Department officials said.

The fire department, Nassau police and Town of Oyster Bay marine bureau have been on the scene since about 9:30p.m., fire department officials said. Shortly before 11 p.m., officials said the boater's water scooter had been found unattended.
