Cops: Roosevelt man used screwdriver to cut victim
A Roosevelt man is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on first-degree robbery and third-degree possession of a weapon charges for allegedly using a screwdriver to cut another man's neck Tuesday, Nassau police said.
Christopher Williams, 37, of 36 John St., had an argument with a 50-year-old man over money on Cumberland Avenue in Roosevelt shortly before noon, police said. He then pulled out a screwdriver and swung it at the man and struck him in the neck, causing a laceration, police said, adding that the victim then handed over some money.

Williams also took the victim's bag containing jeans and a shirt and ran away, police said.
Police said officers located Williams on Underhill Avenue and placed him under arrest. The money and items were recovered along with the screwdriver, police said.
The victim refused medical attention, police said.
Williams is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
