The event will be “speaking out against bigotry, hatred and racism two days before the first presidential debate at Hofstra University,” according to a news release.

The Hempstead New Democratic Club will host a “Stop the Hate” pre-presidential debate rally Saturday against racism, bigotry and hatred.

The event will be “speaking out against bigotry, hatred and racism two days before the first presidential debate at Hofstra University,” according to a news release.

A list of expected speakers include Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan Abrahams, Hempstead Mayor Wayne Hall Sr., Long Beach City Councilwoman Anissa Moore and several local clergy.

The rally is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kennedy Memorial Park, 335 Greenwich St. in Hempstead.
