An intersection at Rockaway Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard on the border of Lynbrook, Valley Stream and Hewlett has reopened after a water main break closed it Tuesday morning.

The break was reported at about 6:45 a.m., Nassau County police said.

An intersection at Rockaway Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard on the border of Lynbrook, Valley Stream and Hewlett has reopened after a water main break closed it Tuesday morning.

The break was reported at about 6:45 a.m., Nassau County police said.

The cause of the break was not clear, but police said water district emergency repair crews were on the scene.

  A spokesman with Nassau County police said late Tuesday afternoon the intersection was reopened.
