With post-tropical cyclone Hermine gone, restrictions on swimming have been lifted at state beaches on Long Island, officials said Thursday.

The state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation said the following beaches are now open for swimming:

With post-tropical cyclone Hermine gone, restrictions on swimming have been lifted at state beaches on Long Island, officials said Thursday.

The state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation said the following beaches are now open for swimming:

  • Hither Hills State Park: Daily through Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Jones Beach State Park Field 6: Daily through Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Jones Beach Central Mall: Daily through Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sept. 10 and 11, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sept. 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Robert Moses State Park: Fields 2 and 5, daily through Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends.
  • Sunken Meadow State Park: Daily through Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
