1 teen critical in Manorville crash
Two Suffolk County teenagers were injured, one critically, when their car struck a pole Friday night on Weeks Avenue in Manorville, police said.
Logan Murphy, 17, was driving a 1998 Saturn south on Weeks Avenue, north of Moriches Middle Island Road, at about 10:45 p.m. when he apparently lost control and hit a pole on the east side of the road, Seventh Squad detectives said in a release.

Murphy, 17, of Mastic Beach, was taken by Suffolk County police helicopter to Stony Brook University Medical Center, where he was admitted in critical condition. His passenger, Patrick Hansen, 17, of Shirley, was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue for minor injuries, police said.
A police spokesman Saturday said he could not provide a reason for the crash because of the ongoing investigation. The car was impounded for a safety check.
