A Brentwood man was killed Saturday in North Bay Shore after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a fire hydrant, Suffolk police said Sunday.

Bryant Castro, 30, crashed about 3:35 p.m. as he drove a 2018 Cadillac westbound on Delaware Avenue, police said. Afterward, the vehicle caught fire, police said.

A Brentwood man was killed Saturday in North Bay Shore after he lost control of his vehicle and struck a fire hydrant, Suffolk police said Sunday.

Bryant Castro, 30, crashed about 3:35 p.m. as he drove a 2018 Cadillac westbound on Delaware Avenue, police said. Afterward, the vehicle caught fire, police said.

Castro was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating the crash and ask anyone with information to call 631-852-6553.
