A car crashed into a school building in Brentwood Thursday morning, sending the driver to nearby Southside Hospital with undisclosed injuries, police and officials said.

A car crashed into a school building in Brentwood Thursday morning, sending the driver to nearby Southside Hospital with undisclosed injuries, police and officials said.

No one else was injured.

The building is near the Oak Park School, but is used for registration and administration and houses no students, district sources said.

The accident occurred at about 7:50 a.m. Classes at the nearby school begin at 9:20 a.m.

Suffolk County police and fire officials said the driver was taken to the hospital in Bay Shore via Brentwood Legion ambulance.

It was not clear if the driver was a man or woman.

It was not immediately clear how much damage the building sustained in the crash.
