Cops: Flanders man busted for drugs
A Flanders man already on parole following a narcotics sales conviction was arrested again Friday and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, Southampton police said.
John Henry Ward, 51, of 736 Flanders Rd., was arrested at his home after a search warrant there netted investigators quantities of heroin packaged for sale, prescription narcotics and an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

Ward, arraigned Friday in Southampton Town Justice Court, was ordered held without bail pending his next court appearance Wednesday.
Southampton police said the arrest resulted from a prolonged investigation by the Suffolk District Attorney's East End Drug Task Force.
The third-degree criminal possession charge against Ward is a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison, police said.
