Eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway reopened after being shut for just over an hour due to a five-vehicle crash in Islip by Exit 45, Suffolk police said on Friday afternoon.

“Three people were transported with minor injuries” to the hospital, a spokesman said.

No criminality is suspected and there are no charges, he added.

The collisions, east of Route 111, were reported to police about 4:30 p.m., a spokeswoman said.

Just as that crash was cleared, three cars collided in Nassau County on the southbound Meadowbrook State Parkway, closing the left lane for about an hour, according to InformNY, the state transportation website for alerts.

The collisions occurred by Exit M2, which serves the Roosevelt Field mall in Garden City.

No further details were available about the second crash.
