A 19-year-old East Islip man died Saturday after losing control of his motorcycle on Heckscher Spur Drive in East Islip, State Police said.

The identity of the deceased man was not released.

A 19-year-old East Islip man died Saturday after losing control of his motorcycle on Heckscher Spur Drive in East Islip, State Police said.

The identity of the deceased man was not released.

Police said the motorcyclist, riding a 2015 Kawasaki, was headed north on Heckscher Spur Drive north of Timber Point Road, when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. The motorcycle continued on the right shoulder and stopped after it struck a tree. The crash occurred about 2:30 p.m., police said.

The motorcyclist died at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
