Occupy Wall St. protest set in Sag Harbor
Supporters of the Occupy Wall Street movement are hoping to plant some roots on Long Island Saturday evening with a planned three-hour event in Sag Harbor.
"Obviously, we won't be sleeping there -- no tents, no sleeping bags," Ty Wenzel of East Hampton, who expects to participate, said Friday.

"Obviously, we won't be sleeping there -- no tents, no sleeping bags," Ty Wenzel of East Hampton, who expects to participate, said Friday.
Sgt. Paul Fabiano of the Sag Harbor Village Police Department said a permit was not necessary because organizer Paul Monaco, a local writer, had told them he expected 30 to 40 protesters.
"We're aware of the event, and we'll post some officers for everyone's safety," Fabiano said.
Monaco, 69, said in an interview Friday that he read about Occupy events springing up around the country, "but I noticed nobody doing anything on the East End of Long Island, and I was surprised at that. So Sunday night I went on the Web and put something together."
