Officials: Woman on Ronkonkoma LIRR video 'safe'
A woman shown on MTA surveillance video apparently being assaulted and abducted last week at the Ronkonkoma LIRR train station "has come forward and is safe," MTA police said in a statement released late Sunday.
The woman is seen on the surveillance footage being punched in the torso by a man who then follows her into the train station and violently drags her out, at one point shoving her and grabbing her by the hair. He is later seen dragging her along the ground out of view of the cameras.

MTA officials said the apparent assault occurred on the morning of March 4.
The footage was released last Friday.
An MTA spokesman Sunday night would not say whether anyone has been arrested or charged in the incident and would not identify the nature of the relationship, if any, between the man and woman on the footage.
"The MTA Police are continuing their investigation into the incident," the statement read Sunday.
MTA police have asked that anyone with information about the incident contact them at 718-361-2207.
