A Westbury man, already on probation for a weapons possession conviction, was charged with possession of a stun-gun flashlight after being arrested on charges of driving while impaired by drugs Thursday night in Hampton Bays, State Police said.
Muhammad Haynes, 36, was arrested after police said he failed a field sobriety test.

A Westbury man, already on probation for a weapons possession conviction, was charged with possession of a stun-gun flashlight after being arrested on charges of driving while impaired by drugs Thursday night in Hampton Bays, State Police said.
Muhammad Haynes, 36, was arrested after police said he failed a field sobriety test.
He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Arraignment details were not immediately available.
Police said troopers from the Riverside Barracks found Haynes in a car parked on the center median of Sunrise Highway near Exit 65 at 10:10 p.m.
During their questioning of Haynes, police said troopers smelled alcohol and marijuana -- and gave Haynes the field sobriety test. During their subsequent investigation, police said troopers recovered a stun gun flashlight and a metal grinder that contained marijuana.
A background check revealed Haynes was on probation for the prior weapons possession conviction, police said.
