A Brentwood man was killed Wednesday morning in Holbrook when his SUV was struck, leading to a three-vehicle crash, Suffolk County police said.

Steven Russell, 69, was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco headed north on Lincoln Avenue at 7:10 a.m. when his SUV was hit by a 2015 Ford F550, heading east on Veterans Memorial Highway, according to police

A Brentwood man was killed Wednesday morning in Holbrook when his SUV was struck, leading to a three-vehicle crash, Suffolk County police said.

Steven Russell, 69, was driving a 2021 Ford Bronco headed north on Lincoln Avenue at 7:10 a.m. when his SUV was hit by a 2015 Ford F550, heading east on Veterans Memorial Highway, according to police

The F550 then hit a 2005 Chevrolet van stopped at the intersection, police said.

Russell was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead from his injuries suffered in the crash.

The driver of the F550, Mario Pineda, 37, of Brentwood and three male passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Chevy van was not injured.

Police conducted safety checks on the three vehicles involved in the crash.
